Howard Lederer was born into in a family of 5 in which he loved playing various card games when he was young. He found himself getting very aggressive in these particular card games as he was competing against his father. After graduating from secondary school, Howard decided to place higher education on hold for a bit and relocated to New York City to play some serious chess. The actual advancement in his abilities began when he began gambling at the Mayfair Club in New York. The Mayfair was a bridge and backgammon club where the the most favorable gamblers would regularly wager against one another. He had access into a few of the greatest minds in chess. Howard told Annie Duke to move out to Sin City and compete in the WSOP competition. Annie is one of the greatest female players the poker arena ever. Howard headed to Sin City in Nineteen Ninety Three and participated in money games for the following 10 years. When the World Poker Tournament grew in popularity, Howard decided to participate in more tournaments.
