Pai Gow Poker is a current game with old ancestry. Based on the old Chinese domino game and the modern American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the far east with the west in a wonderful game for beginner level players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler versus the dealer, not like the majority of other poker games that players compete with other players. By gambling against the dealer, new players do not have to fret about any other, more skillful people winning their money.

A further Pai Gow edge is the relatively leisurely game play, beginners can take their time and scheme without needing to make hasty selections.

It’s also easier to enjoy for an extended time with basically a tiny bit of cash after all, to not win, each of your hands has to be lower than each of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card basic deck and one joker. The player is given 7 cards face up and the croupier gets 7 cards face down.

One five card hand and one 2 card hand need to be made from the 7 cards dealt, the five card hand must be better than the two card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand values to be larger than the casino’s.
